Welcome to HiThere, a service operated by near4j (the “Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using our app, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use (“Terms”). If you do not agree to all the Terms, you must discontinue use of the app.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use HiThere. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.

2. Account Registration

To use HiThere, you must create an account by providing accurate information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for any activity under your account.

3. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use HiThere for any illegal purposes.
• Use HiThere for any reason other than making new friends, socializing, or staying connected to profiles you already know.
• Post any content that is offensive, abusive, or harmful.
• Harass, threaten, or intimidate other users.
• Impersonate another person or entity.
• Engage in any commercial use, including seeking clients for your business.
• Upload viruses or malicious software.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these rules.

4. Content Ownership and Use

You retain ownership of the content you post on HiThere. Still, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, license to use, and display your content to other nearby(that you did not block) logged-in users within the app, as needed to provide the service.

5. Privacy and Data Security

Your privacy is important to us. We will handle your personal data under our Privacy Policy terms. All data is stored securely in the U.S. using Google and Amazon cloud services, ensuring data remains exclusively within the USA.

6. Account Closure and Suspension 

We may suspend or close your account at any time, with or without notice, for any violation of these Terms or other reasons, such as inactivity or legal requirements.

7. Modifications of Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify you by email or app when making the changes. Your continued use of HiThere after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the U.S laws without regard to its conflict of law principles.
